The roster page at the sheriff site is best for county jail custody. It can show local police arrests, sheriff arrests, court commitments, bench warrants, body attachments, holds for other counties, and 309 or state-status language when those entries are public. Sentenced state prisoners, federal prisoners, and immigration detainees are searched through different systems, even when the person started with a Randolph County arrest.

The sample Randolph County inmate profile captured in the research shows how these fields are arranged. A profile can help confirm that Pocahontas Police Department, the sheriff's office, or another agency brought the person into custody, but it should not be treated as the final court docket.

The sheriff's contact page also warns that web contact should not be used for emergencies and that email-style messages are not secure. For urgent danger, use 911. For custody, bond, records, or visit status, call the jail before traveling to Pace Road.
Randolph County Visitation Status
An official Randolph County AR visitation schedule was not located in the sheriff pages reviewed. The correct content choice is to state the gap and give the call-first path, not to invent weekday, weekend, or holiday hours. NCIC materials support communications, messaging, phone, and video services, but the research did not locate a Randolph-specific social visit calendar.

Randolph County Jail Communications
The sheriff's Jail-Communications page hosts the local NCIC and mail materials. Ordinary inmate mail changed to a Texas processing address on May 28, 2025. Legal and medical mail still goes to the physical detention center address. NCIC is documented for communications, messaging, video, calls, tablets, and mail scanning. The research did not identify NCIC as the commissary provider.

Mail sent to the Longview processing address is scanned and sent electronically to the inmate. The sheriff-hosted notice says processed mail will not be returned or released and will be destroyed after electronic receipt. Keep the inmate number, return address, and page/photo limits in mind before mailing.
Randolph County Booking Records
Randolph County booking starts when the jail accepts a person from the sheriff's office, Pocahontas Police Department, another local agency, a court order, or another jurisdictional hold. The public fields show how that intake record is built: booking number, booking date and time, mugshot, arresting agency, charge or warrant text, and bond or hold information. A current roster entry may be a fresh arrest, but it may also be a bench warrant, contempt matter, body attachment, state status, 309 entry, or other-agency hold.
The sheriff FAQ identifies jail booking records as a public-disclosure category under Arkansas FOIA when no exemption applies. That is the fallback for older records, booking records no longer visible on the 48-hour release list, and records that require a formal request. The FAQ also makes a clear distinction between jail booking records and ACIC/NCIC criminal-history information. The sheriff's office cannot provide ACIC or NCIC background checks as if they were public jail roster records.

County Jail vs DOC Records
A Randolph County jail record is not the same as an Arkansas DOC record. County custody is usually the first public system after arrest. Court proceedings may later lead to a state sentence, and the person may move to a DOC facility or remain under a Randolph-related DOC status such as Randolph County Waiting List, Randolph Co.309/Wrk, or Randolph Cty 309-In Jail.
